Oh no way. Dancing is for a life time. I am in total disagreement. You know, you can be 60, 65 and 70 years old and you never have to be alone. At least in VA there are dance centers everywhere. But not only that, if you move anywhere in the states you can find a ballroom. I say always take care of your body. Stay as slim as possible and more in shape than out of shape. Keep smiling and keep on dancing.

Yes, many of you recognize the benefits of dancing, and it can be a life long activity. It may take on different forms later in life. As the body slows down, the desire and ability to do competitive dancing kinda goes away, besides, after awhile you will get tired of that anyway. But there are many other aspects of dancing that are also enjoyable. When you find that special one in your life, this is a great activity to share together. Some get a lot of enjoyment out of teaching, even if it is just for fun and not for profit. At a dance that I attend there are two guys who are over 90. They don't move like they used to do, but they get out there on the floor and have a good time. That's what counts. I wonder if being dancers has anything to do with the fact that they are over 90.

I have spent the last year teaching ballroom dancing as an art class in a few high schools and it has gone really well. I was wondering if any others out there were teaching in a public school setting?
